Sterling Silver Chain Cufflinks Millennium Hallmark 2000
Linked in a chain design rather than a fixed bar or cross, these solid sterling silver cufflinks are hallmarked with the rare London Millennium Mark 2000. Hand forged in a Cornish workshop, the chain link gives a little movement and a more relaxed finish than the bar style.
A piece of history you can wear. In the year 2000, the London Assay Office marked silver with a special commemorative stamp, the number 2000 set within a square cross, to celebrate the Millennium. It’s a mark that will never be struck again, making this a finite piece of British silversmithing history.
Alongside the Millennium mark, your piece carries a full London hallmark and my own maker’s mark, JPA (registered under my working name at the time, now known as P.A, Piere Andrews). Together, these marks are your independent, official guarantee that you’re holding a genuine, British made, solid silver piece, verified by the Assay Office.
Stock of this Millennium marked silver is limited and cannot be replenished, so once it’s sold, that particular window into the year 2000 is closed for good.
Each piece is made entirely by hand in my workshop. Handmade work naturally carries small variations from one piece to the next.
Your order will be gift wrapped with care before it’s sent.
